Barcelona-based Natura Bissé’s skincare and spa treatments are truly transformative, guided by the needs of customers for more than 40 years

Our skin affects and reflects our inner wellbeing. This relationship has been the focus of decades of scientific investigation and innovation by luxury skincare company Natura Bissé, a brand synonymous with pioneering holistic spa treatments and skincare products that attract a discerning clientele.

Natura Bissé was founded in 1979 by Ricardo Fisas and Gloria Vergés, who also set up the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation charity. “They recognised that skin condition varies between people and over time,” says Laura Muñoz, Brand Equity Director, “and realised the best way to support skin and wellbeing was a tactile, personalised approach that awakened the senses. They established a network of expert aestheticians and meticulously researched and developed a range of products to meet various skincare needs, using the optimum blend of the finest naturally and scientifically derived ingredients.”

The founders’ scientific rigour and client-centric approach has created a profound ongoing connection between Natura Bissé and its customers. The results are truly transformative spa experiences – which earned the brand the accolade World’s Best Spa Brand at the 2021 World Spa Awards, for the fourth year in a row – with treatments that can be tailored to the clients’ needs. “We will always be innovating, it’s in our DNA,” says Laura. “Back in 2018, we introduced The Mindful Touch to our spa experience, which harnesses the power of virtual reality to deeply engage clients in the moment, helping to intensify the physical nuances of a treatment. We also offer treatments in the Natura Bissé Pure Air Bubble, a space filled with 99.99 per cent pure air.” The concept, which originated in elite sport, creates a controlled environment, to maximise the restorative effects of a treatment.

Natura Bissé is overseen by a second generation of the family at its headquarters in Barcelona. The offices, production facilities, research and development laboratory and spa are the hub of its network of subsidiaries, aestheticians and prestigious stockists, which spans 40 countries and provides more than 7.5 million treatments a year.
